峡谷 (xiá gǔ): canyon; gill; ravine

We followed the steep path down and finally reached the bottom of the canyon. Looking up, we saw high rock walls on both sides.

The river runs through the canyon, and the current is very fast, so tourists cannot swim and can only stand on the bridge to enjoy the view.

At dusk, the last rays of sunlight shine into the canyon, turning the rock walls golden. The scenery is spectacular.

We stood at the edge of the canyon, and a cool breeze blew from the valley, making us feel both scared and excited.
